Handrail v0.9 — Terms

Parties. These terms are between you (the buyer) and the Handrail project (the supplier). Checkout, payment, and receipts are handled by Polar, acting as merchant of record.
Licence. A one-time, non-exclusive licence to use Handrail v0.9, per buyer. Not a subscription. Your licence key may be activated on up to 3 machines.
Liability. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from this purchase is capped at the fees you paid. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and nothing here is a blanket exclusion of liability.
Not a security audit. Handrail adds defence-in-depth checks — it reduces but never eliminates risk, is not a security audit or certification, and does not replace backups, code review, or your own judgment.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If you are a consumer, any mandatory consumer-protection law of your own country continues to apply where it would otherwise apply.
